Today’s the big day for the launch of the new online Boutique! It’s a project that I’ve worked so hard on and I can’t wait to share it! I’ve designed a collection called the Soraya Collection and hand made all of the pieces ♥️ 20% of every purchase you make will be donated to a faith-based non profit organization, Voice of the Refugee, that engages and assists refugees in the US. I have a million things I’m so excited to say about this launch, so read all about the passion, love, and heart that is behind this collection on the "About the Soraya Collection" page, under the Boutique tab
and come hang out for the Instagram live later today @Carlieraetice! The launch party starts at 1pm MST,
don’t miss it 😘!
Sleepovers are the best parties because you get to eat, you can wear yoga pants the entire time, and you can pull out the old school, sleepover classics. When I was in high school, my favorite sleepover things were eating Bacon Pop [I know artificial bacon flavored popcorn is gross, but we don't judge here people], watching Pretty Little Liars, convincing my friends that Pretty Little Liars was in fact a great show that we should watch, and doing make-it-yourself face masks that probably gave us acne but we definitely thought were totally helping.
I still love a good girl's night, and an old school sleepover themed girl's night is the very best kind. Here are some must have party essentials for your GNO.
Okay, here's the thing with face masks, if you find the right ones and you use them in the right order, they really will do wonders for your face. Do some research on your skin and pair up some masks to get the best results and the most relaxing facial. I've shared a few of these before because they are my tried and true favorites. I don't ever do two or three at once, but I like to start out with either the pineapple Alba mask or the YesTo mask. After your face is washed, clean out your pores with on of these then move on to a Neutrogena gel mask or a relaxing Que Bella mask. Super cheap, you can find these puppies anywhere. The Mario Badescu drying lotion is a little bit pricier, but this is the only thing I've found in my life that takes away zits. It's a miracle bottle, you only need a drop on your spots, and it's perfect for dabbing on right before bed. These are sleepover musts.
What is a slumber party or a Bachelor Monday without cute pajamas? These are some of the comfiest PJs that will keep you cozy but also keep you insta ready, because you just never know. I'm a sucker for comfy boy shorts, long sleep shirts, and matching sets.
WHAT TO WATCH
Here are my picks. You can't go wrong with the Bachelor, You again is the cutest and funniest, I'm a sucker for a Sandra Bullock comedy, and The First Monday in May is a good pick for your fashion and or documentary lovin' friends. And will I ever not suggest watching PLL?
PARTY SUPPLY MUST HAVES

If you’re road-tripping, working out, or having a you day and need a good listen, these are my favorite picks on my Christian podcast list. They’re all interview style podcasts that bring Christians in the business world, ministry world, and social media world in to hear about how they did it, their personal lives, and how God is using them and their ministries. They’re all solid podcasts I’m a big fan of, but The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey is my absolute fave. I’m a sucker for a long walk with my dog and a podcast to jump start my creativity. Get refreshed and inspired and hop in your car and start listening 😘🎧
Sometimes you have an off day. Sometimes you have an off week. Sometimes you just don't feel like yourself. Busy schedules, long days at work, cloudy skies; there's many a thing that can get you feeling like you're in a funk. I just had a whole weekend like that. I didn't want to go outside, I wasn't very hungry, I didn't really want to do anything, and I would have been content doing nothing but staring at the wall for a whole day. That's for sure not me. I let the funk get a hold of me for a few days, and then I had to hit it hard to get back in the swing of things. Here's my Feel-More-You list for when you're off and not your normal self:
When I'm feeling out of it, I usually need to get a grip with Jesus and remember what He thinks of me. I always pray for peace and rebuke whatever is around me that's not of the Lord. Some of my favorite passages to read are Hebrews 13:6, Hebrews 4:16, 1 John 4:17, and 1 John 5:14. Getcho' self some Jesus.
2. TREAT YO'SELF FOOD
Eating my favorite food or whatever I'm craving always helps me feel better. This doesn't necessarily mean I eat the double double and bacon covered-extra cheese pizza that I'm dreaming about and go crazy, I try to keep it on the healthy side because sometimes eating half of a greasy pizza and a milkshake doesn't always make me feel better. But, having a salad or a healthy snack with a bowl of Ben and Jerry's never hurt no one. When I get moody and distant with myself, My weird crave food is from Native Foods Vegan Restaurant. To each their own, *insert your weird food cravings here*.
3. CLASSIC YOU CLOTHES
Wear the most you outfit. Pick out your favorite clothes, your favorite shoes, and do your hair the way you love it. My favorite outfit is some black pants, vans high tops, a floral tank, and a comfy little jean jacket. I curl my crazy locks and grab the shimmer eye shadow, and instantly I'm feeling a little more Carlie.
4. FAVORITE STORE EXPEDITION
Making yourself get up and get out can always help you feel better. Sometimes you have to force yourself. Head to your favorite feel-good store, and even if you don't buy anything, walk around. Try on clothes you like, look at the things you're interested in, window shop, whatever does the feel-goods for you. When I'm down, I ALWAYS go to Target. Walking around Target is therapy for me. The employees probably think I'm psychotic, but it always does the trick.
5. THINGS YOU LOVE LIST
It sounds odd, but make a list of things you love. You can make a pinterest board or save pictures of your things, or just simply write a physical list of them. Sometimes I make a mood board, sometimes I make a list of the places I want to travel, sometimes I just Pinterest and pick out cute outfits. Find things that inspire you. My things are glitter shoes and wallets, red lipsticks, off-the-shoulder tops, pale pink nail polishes, heels, and makeup. You do you boo.
If you find yourself feeling down, don't fret. Give yourself a mini-vacation, and focus on Jesus, the things you love, and treat yourself to your favorites. It's a foolproof formula to feel extra you ❤
If you're a Christmas fanatic, and especially if you aren't, you definitely need a good and solid Christmas playlist to amp you up for the Christmas parties and holiday lines at Best Buy. You know what I'm talking about. There's some Jesus lovin' music, a few oldies but goodies, and some under the mistletoe with Justin Bieber. Sue me.
Add a few to your list this year ❤
They're the coolest kids on the Christian clothing block! He>i has just one logo that they use for everything, but they really rock it. The famous "HE>i" is printed on hats, bags, shirts, and the ultimate way to be sure you're a Christian, with some vinyl car stickers. Add this to your lists people! It's a must go-to. They have store locations in Hale'iwa and Honolulu Hawaii, and one on PCH in Newport Beach. But if you can't jet set all the way to the islands, their online store carries everything.
Sone boho-outfit-inspo because you just have to mix it up sometimes. Here's the formula: crazy beach hair, lace and or something flowy, and denim.
